ITINERARY
Thursday: Travel to Calais and spend one night with dinner, bed and breakfast.
Friday – Lyon: Embarkation at approximately 1600 hrs in Lyon. Settle into your cabin before a welcome cocktail and crew presentation with dinner on board and an evening of entertainment.
Saturday – Avignon/Arles: Breakfast on board and morning spent cruising along enchanting scenery of southern France, passing Valence, and Montelimar. Then on through the great lock in Bollene, one of the masterpieces of the 1950’s rising to nearly 60ft. Lunch on board before calling in Avignon. An optional tour of the Camargue will be available, with time to visit the charming town of Saintes-Maries-dela- Mer. Dinner on board with an optional guided tour of the City.
Sunday – Avignon/Viviers: Breakfast on board with an early morning start to Avignon. An optional guided tour available of the city of popes. In the afternoon cruise to Viviers with lunch and dinner on board followed by an optional guided walking tour. Overnight stop
Monday – Viviers/Cotes du Rhone: Breakfast on board, then an optional coach trip to the Gorges of the Ardeche, Bourg Saint Andeol, crossing the Gras Plateau to reach Vallon Pont d’Arc. Lunch on board and an optional opportunity to taste some of the famous Cotes du Rhone wines before returning to the ship for dinner and a gala evening. Overnight stop
Tuesday – Cotes du Rhone/Vienne/Lyon: The ship sails at dawn up the Rhone, calling at Vienne with an optional guided tour of this Roman City. Return to Lyon with lunch on board before disembarkation approx 1400 hrs at Claude Bernard Quay. Travel to Calais for one night with dinner bed and breakfast.
Wednesday: Homeward Journey
Ms Camargue
Built in 1995, Ms Camargue is 110m long and 10m wide. All 73 cabins are equipped with shower, toilet, hairdryer, satellite television, radio and safe. Ms Camargue features a lounge-bar with dance floor, a bar, a dining room, a large sundeck with deckchairs and a gift shop. All cabins are on the main deck of the ship, upper cabins may be available on request.
